Ahrens, Professor Emeritus of Art, was born in 1918 and earned a B.F.A. from Pratt Institute (1941), an M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University (1943), and an Ed.D. from New York University (1964); taught at Trenton State College from 1957 to 1983 and served as chair of Art Department from 1965 to 1970 and from 1972 to 1975.
